A Tribute to a Coach

This is a small wooden plaque that I rastered using the Epilog CNC Laser that we are fortunate enough to have at school. Usually when you play a high school sport, at the end of the season, the team gives the coach a gift. As part of that gift, I wanted to make a plaque for our coach. I thought that it would be a very unique and personalized gift for her. As you can see, it reads RHS Girl's Tennis Coach, Coach Devin and has two tennis racquets on it. Instructions I started making this by taking a precut wooden block (one that already looked like a plaque) and measuring its length and width. I then made an Adobe Illustrator file that had the same dimensions. From there it was just a matter of typing in the text with a solid font, finding a nice picture of two crossed tennis racquets and putting a contemporary border around it. After a bit of tweaking at the border and experimenting with the font size, I was finally done and I printed it out using an Epilog CNC Laser.
