Each time a machined fillet is specified on a part print with tolerances, it increases the cost of the part because: (1) the fillet has to be manufactured, and (2) the fillet has to be measured. Therefore, it is important to only include machined fillets as required to keep the cost of the part in control. This document outlines the process of designing and implementing machined fillets using a center bracket as an example mechanical part.
