Abacus

Abacus

What better tool and math manipulative item to make than the abacus? Kids will learn basic arithmetic and older kids could learn a new way to doing arithmetic. I have never actually been able to own a 3D printer yet, only been using shapeways so I have no idea what the clearance amount for the pieces would be, hopefully it will work all fit properly. Instructions Just looked up examples of it, made my own version of them. Some assembly required. Print out one body and on set of pegs. Depending on which you wish to create, choose the beads and print the appropriate amount for each column, as shown in the preview image. Afterwards, just push the peg through the body and the beads and push in. Can super glue in the peg if you have a final you want to keep.
