Here’s my newest scan! This Jewel, located in the east of Leipzig is the last remaining building of the much larger Karl Krause Machine factory, giving work to at least 1500 People at it’s prime. Build in 1913, it was used for producing book binding and printing machines. The first photocopying machines were manufactured here. Production stopped 1994 after it was taken over by the „Treuhand“ in the DDR unification process. I scanned the building with a Mavic 2 Pro, producing around 1500 Images. I then used RealityCapture to compute a 200 Million and a 600K Poly Version and then moved the Detail from High to Low via Normal Maps (this time from within RC, awesome quality!). Finally I computed roughness and metalness maps via ShaderMap4 and did some hand editing. For the first time, this scan also includes vector displacement maps for offline rendering! The Model contains 1 600K Poly FBX, 30 8K Textures in 6 UDIMs.
