I liked qJakes Wand so much, I decided to remix it :-)

Well, seriously, my kid caught the Potter fever and this was the most appealing design I could find quickly.

I only took the base part and widened the opening to fit a regular 6x8mm chopstick (to be found in every Chinese restaurant in the world). Saves some filament and time.

As an added bonus this wand handle also features a secret compartment - for hidden magic gems that boost its magical power, of course.

I created two slightly different designs, one for regular PLA/PETG/ABS and one for wood filament to be printed with a 0.6mm nozzle.
See the pictures to get an impression of the results.

Please read the printing notes before you print.

Print Settings

Resolution: 0.15
Infill: 35%
Filament: ICE wood “original oak”

Notes:

If you are using a filament printer (FDM), please prefer the files that include an "FDM" in their names over those that do not. Turn up your part fan for the threaded sections at least.

The FDM version of the base part that stands on its tips features a very simple extra structure that makes itprint perfectly if you enable a 3-4mm brim in your slicer. Clipping the support structure away after printing is only a matter of seconds and the threaded part comes out perfectly on top.

If you intend to print in wood, please use a 0.6mm nozzle and the files marked for 0.6mm since the regular screw-in part will not fit with wood filament and the 0.6mm design will be too loose when printed with regular filament. Also, I recommend at least four shells or the wand will become too brittle.

I recommend printing the parts in turn, not together.

Do not mix 0.6mm and non-0.6mm STL files - the threads will not fit.
