This is an relatively accurate representation of a Tide Pod. It is designed to be printed in two pieces and then glued together and painted. Still working on prototyping this myself, so no guarantees on this model. Also included is a mold, again not tested yet, that is made off my model. I am planning on making Jello molds with these. The mold is designed to use 1/4-20 bolts to hold it together. Contact me if you are interested in the Autodesk Inventor Files. ***EDIT FEB 8th, 2018*** Added two additional part files, one_swirl.stl and Pod_Top_No_Swirl.stl for those that want to make individual pieces. These should be the same size as the originals. ***EDIT Feb 11th, 2018*** After some trials molding gelatin in the mold, I have revised the design and come out with a much better design for the mold and a better process. I uploaded new mold pieces with the suffix -rev2 to them. I have taken down the 1st rev molds to avoid confusion. To make gelatin molded tide pods: 1. Print the molds (I used a food safe PLA). I used .13125 layer height, 5 bottom layers, 5 top layers, and 5 perimeter lines with 20% infill to help the mold be watertight. 2. Sand down the mating surfaces of the molds to make sure they are flat 3. Wash the molds and dry. 4. Apply cooking spray. This helps the gelatin not stick to the mold. 5. Assemble molds together. I used a crap ton of rubber bands, but I plan on using bolts in the future. 6. Fill the mold. I used a syringe to fill the mold to avoid spillage. Also when mixing your Jell-O, use only 3/4 cup of water in each step, so its a tougher gelatin mix. 7. Refrigerate overnight. 8. Carefully dissemble. If all goes well, the tide pod should just about fall out of the mold into your hand. 9. Enjoy your gelatin Tide Pod!
