Acorn Porch Light Replacement Lens

Acorn Porch Light Replacement Lens

This is a replacement lens for an "Acorn Porch Light" found on some RVs. The one I copied was from a Denali super lite by Coachman. The shape was tricky to model and needed to be split into pieces to make it printable. I didn't bother including the lenticular grooves on the surface, since the layer lines do the job of diffusion well enough. I made a third piece to clip the two halves together, but glue would work fine as well. This part requires quite a bit of force to get it in place, I used the butt end of a screwdriver to push it into place, after starting it from one end. Both halves should have the middle rib on the bed, and the c-channel sort of splicing part should be printed standing up for best strength. I've reoriented the parts so that they should be in correct orientation when loaded in the slicer, but just in case I added an image showing how to correctly orient them on the print bed.
