More info to come. This was inspired by RJ_Make. This Hepa/Active Carbon filter design attempts to reduce the high restrictions created by his design. More then a dozen parts are provided, giving a large variety of options. I have printed all of my test parts in ABS so as long as you know how to limit warping you should be ok, else use PLA or some other material that does not warp much. Current supported fan sizes: 60mm, 80mm, 92mm and 120mm Fan I used for testing was a Delta FFB0912EHE-F00, the higher the static pressure rating fan you use the better. I intend to test the 0.5" Carbon setup with standard PC fans and record results. Update: I have been using a 1" Carbon body and a standard 90mm case fan without any issues for a while now, the fan seems to have no issue pulling air into the filter. 4 bases provided: 1 square with extended legs, 1 round, 1 raised with bridging/vents and a vertical mount set. 4 different heights for the Active Carbon Body have been supplied, recommend only using the 1/2" unless you have a very strong fan, which will be very noisy. Manual rotation of the parts in your slicer will most likely be required. The Fan Grills, Fan Adapters and Active Carbon Body's should be printed upside down. The bases and the Hepa Filter holder should be printed right side up. Needed Parts: 4 Fan screws The Filters are Roomba 800 HEPA filters. I have found fiberglass window/sliding door screen to work well at holding the carbon inside without to much mess. Print Settings Printer: Makerfarm Pegasus Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 10-25% Notes: I recommend 1 perimeter and 20-25% infill for most parts except the Grate Grill, it should be solid. If you do the larger carbon bodies in ABS I recommend a skirt to prevent warping.
