Adaptation of the bottom hive NICOT

I made this "KIT" at the request of a friend beekeeper amateur wishing to equip his hives with a plastic bottom Nicot, bottom which unfortunately exists only for the model Dadant 10 frames while his hives are 6 frames! The idea is simple: saw to the right width a Nicot Standard bottom and then reassemble it thanks to the printed parts. The advantage is to "offer" a Nicot bottom for 6C hives as rigid as the original one, for the price of a standard bottom (10€) and the printed parts + screws (2€) for a total of 12€ ... to which we add qlqs minutes to assemble the whole. In addition to the 2 types of parts for assembly, it is imperative to print the kit of 6 drilling templates without which you will not get a precise, correct and rigid assembly. This jig is multi-purpose, my friend has used them to modify 30 floors and they are still in as good condition as when he started! In order to keep the original characteristics of the Nicot floor at the level of resistance to a cleaning-disinfection even with caustic soda, I advise you to print the parts in PETG and not in PLA, my friend tested them with soda. For the same reason, I chose stainless steel for the M4 screws, hardly more expensive than a standard screw! A complete article with photographs of this realization and its assembly is detailed on the Metabricator forum, free to read, at: http://www.metabricoleur.com/t22556-transformer-un-fond-nicot-de-ruche-dadant-10-pour-une-dadant-6-ruchette A specific video will soon be available online via Youtube This KIT is for your personal, non-commercial use only.
