This is specifically for those lamps with D cross-sections that use FML27/50 Linear Quad CFL bulbs. Lamps of this type often tend to break just below the adjusting head. To fix this issue, a collar can be used to couple the broken pieces back together tightly, creating a friction fit. I printed mine using HT-PLA filament on my MakerGeeks Raptor 3D printer.
