The Y-axis motor on my Ender 3 was getting much hotter than the others and I decided to add a 40x40 fan to cool it down. I'll leave it here in case someone needs it too. It is held by a flange at least 250 mm long by 50 mm wide. For the fan, 4 M3 screws of 20 or 30 mm and for damping I added a part made of TPU or flexible material to avoid some vibrations. Also if you want to add a grill, I leave you the one I have placed at the end. To lower the fan speed, a 47 ohm resistor can be added as it is not that the fan is needed at maximum.
