Adapter to replace Mightyboard

Adapter to replace Mightyboard

thingiverse

Replacing the motherboard in my Creality Ender 3 Pro with Bigtreetech's almost silent SKR mini E3 v2 left me with an extra motherboard to mess around with. So, I decided to transplant it into a Makerbot Replicator 2 in the hopes of making that printer, with its limited software, into a much less hostile machine. Of course the mounting hole patterns of the two motherboards are different. Their super expensive "MightyBoard H" is proprietary and undocumented except for what the public has offered on the internet. The adapter I'm posting here offers a solution for mounting a replacement. (See photo.) I added some M3 x 5 threaded brass inserts to the adapter and the results is a nice, sturdy install. Secure the inserts with a few light taps and a tiny bit of Crazy Glue. Actually, I have no idea if this conversion "thing" will even work. So, if you're thinking of following in my footsteps, do so at your own risk. If I make any progress at this I'll update this post and keep you informed. I've posted the Blender file for the truly adventurous to alter as they like.
