Adaptor to fix an AXA HR roller onto a Nordlicht bicycle dynamo

The Nordlicht bottle dynamo was the best bottle dynamo ever produced. Efficient, reliable and incredibly robust, some lasting decades in regular use. Unfortunately, it went out of production several years ago and because the rubber replacement idlers went out production as well, owners have been left no way to keep their Nordlicht dynamos in service. The best bottle dynamo available now is the AXA HR dynamo and for this replacement rubber roller are still available. The AXA HR dynamo rubbers are somewhat larger than those for the Nordlicht so they are not directly compatible. This adaptor allows an AXA HR rubber roller to be fitted onto the Nordlicht dynamo, allowing it to be kept in use. AXA HR rubbers can be purchased at the following link: https://www.dutchbikebits.com/axa-hr-traction-replacement-rubber Two parts need to be printed. They're identical and fit onto each side of the Nordlicht mounting point for a rubber idler. The idler must be removed first. The parts are then held in place by the AXA rubber or you can try to glue them to the Nordlicht if you prefer. Note that because the AXA rubber is larger in diameter than the original, your dynamo will now spin slightly more slowly, with less resistance and maximum output will be achieved at a slightly higher speed. This should still be well within normal cycling speeds, and I expect everyone will appreciate the slightly lower resistance. I have not yet produced a version of this design to fit a Nordlicht dynamo with a different type of idler.
