Adding a fan to your UPmini 2 stabilizes the output using PLA. Since you're using a fan that draws electricity directly from the USB, you don't have to touch the electrical circuit. You can easily repair it too. Caution: When printing this and the Extruder Cover, make sure to use ABS (or PETG). PLA isn't suitable because it deforms with heat. 1.Get a 40 mm fan that can be directly connected to USB. For instance, you could get a "TIMELY LittleFAN40U". You can find more information at https://www.big-fan.net/ or by searching for TIMELY LittleFAN40U on Google (https://www.google.com/search?q=TIMELY+LittleFAN40U). 2.Print the "Extruder Cover.up3" included in UPmini2ESPrintableParts.zip. You can find this file at https://www.tiertime.com/user-manuals#printableparts. 3.Print it again. 4.Attach it to the newly made Extruder Cover with glue. 5.Attach a 40 mm fan. 6.Remove the Extruder from your UPmini, replace it with the newly created ExtruderCover, and put it back in. Check the photograph for more information. 8.Insert it into your UPmini's USB port or an external USB power supply. Note: When printing with ABS, unplug the fan from the USB port.
