Common issue with those black foam floater for fuel taps with level sensor (Reed Valve). The foam is not gasolin resistent and stops floating after about a year. This is a add on floater, just take a stiff wire, bend it around and put it on the original floater. I took another long rod to give it a gentle pressure from to top.
