Adesso 4 slice sandwich press has a fold over piece of plastic to lock the press together for storage. This can be used to rest the roof from squashing what's inside but is way too narrow. This model is to make a 3 step height adjustment above the built in one, for the larger items. As per picture, it locks into place and doesn't touch the hot surfaces.
