Adjustable Bike Repair Stand

Adjustable Bike Repair Stand

thingiverse

This is an idea for an adjustable bikestand based on the original idea from booornd (https://www.thingiverse.com/booornd/designs), who created an ingenious, DIY foldable bike stand you can find here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4759772 The holders for the front fork and the bottom bracket in my version/remix are mounted on a aluminum profile and can be slid back and forth to adjust for a number of bike sizes. The basic idea is to remove the front wheel and hook the axle into the holder for the front. Here i took boornds V2 for different size axles and adapted it to fit my design. The bottom bracket fixture is sloped (like boornds V2) so it also allows for some adjustment and pulls the bike tight securely. Both holders are mounted to the aluminium profile via 4 profile bolt and nuts (M8), which can be loosened for sliding the along the profile. The whole assembly can either be mounted to a sawhorse like boornds original or just clamped to a workbench. EDIT: The part holding the bottom bracket has been redesigned already, new version is online (V3). The picture of the rail still shows the old V1, so do nit get confused
