Revision V2
I found a stiffer spring that can be used alone and is easier to adjust. It was labeled #7 Compression 1-38 L x 5/16 OD x .041 AWG. With the stiffer spring I managed to break a leg off the handle so I revised the handle, pusher and adjuster design. When I print the handle I flip it over so it prints without supports. Using PrusaSlicer I put a modifier cylinder around the top leg area and increase the perimeters from 3 to 5. I use a small drill to clean out the pivot pin hole. I find that once the spring is loaded the pivot pin stays in place without crimping the end.

Original
A small adjustable click type torque wrench for SMA connectors. I used two springs, a 5/16" x 1-1/2" .02" and a retractable pen spring to get enough force to trip at 4 in-lb of torque. I used a finishing nail as a pivot. Printed in PETG. The tip was printed with 4 perimeters and 30% gyroid fill. The rest used 3 perimeters and 20% fill. The cal arm can be used to calibrate the wrench using a hanging weight or a scale. OpenSCAD is used for the design so it is parametric for other uses and other spring sizes.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

I3 MK3S

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

.2

Filament: Prusa PETG

Category: Electronics
