Adjustable Smartphone Holder - HTC One - Car

An adjustable holder to support a smartphone attached to a car air vent. This design was created for a HTC One which I keep in a protective case to allow the charging port to line up. I wanted to mount my phone in my Ford Fiesta, the initial print did not fit and so I used a hacksaw to remove some of the material to fit into the smaller air vent in my car. the original vent connector is inspired by Starkinator's HTC One Car Vent Mount which can be found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:384211 I am sure that there are improvements to be made to this item to better customise it for individual vehicles and phones, I am happy for people to create variants of my initial design. I take no responsibility for the functionality or failure of this item in use or the subsequent damage that failure may cause to the users possessions or person, makers should be aware that 3D printed objects will not have the same mechanical properties as a commercially produced item. Please let me know how this item works for you and any improvements that come to mind! Instructions Part 1 and the slot part connect together with a push fit with the extrusions on the slot part through the loops in part 1, you can flip the slot part to better suit the angle of your car's vents. I printed two supports and super glued them to the underside of part 1, this provides support against the weakness of the layers in the part. however one support does get in the way somewhat when inserting part 2. Part 2 is inserted into the slot in Part 1 to create a ratchet which clamps the phone and can be released by pushing the button section at the back to unmesh the teeth.
