Adjustable Stool Foot

Adjustable Stool Foot

thingiverse

Adjustable foot for stools/chairs with 1 inch round legs. Uses 1/4x20 threaded inserts and bolts. I used 1 1/4 inch bolts, but you can use other sizes depending on how much adjustment is desired. I would avoid going too long, unless you increase the height of the foot piece, since it contains an inner bushing to help support the bolt. I find that fairly rigid TPU works very well, and looks like original equipment. If desired, omit the threaded sleeve and bolt, and simply use the foot piece as a non-skid replacement for rubber feet that typically come with these chairs/stools. Use a hacksaw to cut the legs of the stool/chair to a height slightly less than desired, then file or sand the edges to dull them so they don't cut through the TPU. Insert the foot pieces, then the threaded inserts. Put the 1/4x20 bolt through the bolt holder, then use E-6000 or other adhesive to attach the bolt cap. Allow to cure before assembling.
