Adjustable Tripod Mount for Smartphones

This mount was designed to allow many different smartphones to be securely attached to a camera tripod. The design incorporates a 1/4-20 Hex nut that is captured inside of the print. This is accomplished by pausing the print either manually or through the slicer at a height of 6.5mm. Once the print pauses simply place the hex nut in position and press down until it sits flush with the top layer. You can now resume the print. Depending on the layer height you choose to print at, the height at which you pause the print may vary. I printed it at 0.3mm height which worked well. You must use supports to support the rubber band hook on the bottom piece however you must also make sure that supports are not generated in the cavity for the hex nut. This can be accomplished through the use of support blockers in PrusaSlicer. After the print has completed, insert the top piece into the bottom piece and attach a rubber band to the rubber band hooks on the back. This will allow you to slide the top piece up and down to accommodate smartphones of various widths while still providing enough pressure to firmly hold the smartphone. This should be compatible with almost every modern smartphone with or without a case. The min/max dimensions are listed below. Minimum smartphone width: 58mm/ 2.28in Maximum smartphone width: 95mm/ 3.74in Maximum smartphone depth: 11mm/ 0.43in
