Aeropress Travel Filter Holder

Aeropress Travel Filter Holder

The Aeropress, while an excellent travel brewer, does not feature a way with which to carry filters. I designed a holder that is modeled after the original filter cap, to retain the iconic look. The holder is as compact as possible while also featuring a cutout that facilitates its use as a countertop filter holder, much in the same way as the original filter holder.

The travel holder is tall enough to clear the plunger without touching it. It features a lip that can hold around 40 filters, but can fit more than 100 with the clearance that the filter cap provides.

It prints in two parts, without needing supports. You can fit the screen to the base and it will hold via friction fit or you can glue it in place.

I hope you find this useful! :)

This print was first printed by a good friend on his Prusa Mini in PLA and it looked great. Due to PLA shrinkage and tight tolerances, the part fit the Aeropress, but very tightly, so I relaxed the tolerances and a print was attempted in PETG. The Mini had some issues with the PETG print that we assume are due to the design of the part cooling fan not reaching parts of the print.

The pictured part was kindly printed by another good friend of mine on his MK3S in Prusament PETG Pistachio Green using the default settings of the 0.10 DETAIL profile with ironing enabled.
