A highly detailed and fully rigged model of the Cobra helicopter.The Bell AH-1 Cobra is an attack helicopter. It shares a common engine, transmission and rotor system with the older UH-1 "Huey". It is variously called the "HueyCobra," "SeaCobra," "SuperCobra," "Whiskey Cobra," "Zulu Cobra," "Viper," or "Snake"; depending on the model.The AH-1 was once the backbone of the United States Army's attack helicopter fleet, but has been replaced by the AH-64 Apache in Army service. In March, 1999, the last AH-1 Cobras were retired from active duty from the US Army. Upgraded versions continue to fly with the United States Marine Corps (AH-1W) and several other users.Product Features (3D Studio Max):The product contains one version of the model, which is rigged and includes a full set of texture, bump, and specular maps.This model is a 3DMax model, saved in version 7 as a MAX file, and requires 3DMax. It does not include any other formats to allow it to be opened in any other software. The model is rigged where appropriate, and mapped and textured.Product Features (Wavefront OBJ):- Approx 220078 polygons.- Has an interior cockpit, which can be seen through the windows.- Has a detailed control panel with texture maps for the dials.- Includes group information (blades, doors, machine gun, etc), which your software should read as separate parts.- The wing-mounted pods are separate parts which you can hide or show to suit the needs of your scene.- This version includes an mtl file, which your software program should read to colorize the model.- The model is UV mapped and textures (in jpg format) are included.- Includes "blade blur": separate parts (with a transparency map) to simulate the blurred spinning of the blades.
