**This is not intended to be used in place of medical-grade filtration equipment; it is a better-than-nothing solution when this equipment is unavailable.** Here is a new air filtration attachment based off [this original design](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4243923 "Air Filtration System for BVMs") I made a few weeks ago. This attachment connects to the air intake/exhaust port of a [SeeReef snorkel](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CN2L2PR "Snorkel Amazon page") and allows filter material to be used to remove small droplet particles from the air when in direct contact with somebody with COVID-19. As soon as the print finishes, check the inside surface of the neck of Main Body v2 for printing artifacts. This surface should be smooth enough to mate with the rubber gasket on the intake/exhaust port of the snorkel mask and form an airtight seal. Clean up any rough areas here with a sharp knife or scissors. Wash the main body after this step with water to make sure no plastic dust is sitting around and waiting to be inhaled. For information on how to make a filter assembly with the filter material of your choice, see the original design (linked above). The filter material will need to be cut to a different shape to match the shape of the printed plastic parts. After creating the filter assembly, simply press it onto the air intake/exhaust of the snorkel mask to create an airtight seal. Note that this connection is keyed, so the two parts will only fit together one way. Match the slightly curved sections of the mask and filter assembly together.
