Air Pruning Bonsai Pot

Air Pruning Bonsai Pot

I designed this model to take advantage of air pruning. Air pruning is a method where you add holes to a pot to let roots near the edge burn due to dryness. This lets plants develop healthier root systems and to grow faster over all. You can use the large center hole on the bottom to wick water when you go out of town.3D PRINTING INSTRUCTIONSRafts:NoSupports:NoResolution:0.2 mm 0.4 mm nozzle 0.44 mm line widthInfill:Tri hexagon 25%Filament_brand:PRILINEFilament_color:Light WoodFilament_material:Wood PLA 1.75mm filamentNotes:Temperature: 210C nozzle 65C print bed 95% flow | Print Speed: 60 mm/s print speed 5 mm/s print jerk | Build Plate Adhesion: 12mm Brim | COASTING ENABLED | ironing enabled | >zigzag >0.2 mm line spacing >15% inflow >90 mm/s travel speed | wipe nozzle after fist full layer if possiblePOST PRINT INSTRUCTIONSREAD DIRECTIONS ON ALL CHEMICALS(1) File holes and trim off brim with knife(2) Sand 100 grit with grain(3) Sand 220 grit with grain(4) [optional](a) Stain (dark oak)(b) Let dry 4+ hours(c) Scuff with scotch brite pad(d) repeat until desired color(5) Apply Tung Oil or Boiled Linseed Oil(6) Wait 24 hours(7) Scuff with scotch brite pad(8) Apply Tung Oil or Boiled Linseed Oil(9) Wait 24 hours(10) Scuff with scotch brite pad(11) Apply Tung Oil or Boiled Linseed Oil(12) Wait 72 hours(13) Rub out with steel wool with grainPotting order: (1) fabric mesh(2) gravel(3) fertilized dirt (4) plant (5) moss (6) decorative rocks You should place this pot on a humidity tray to increase gas exchange to the bottom roots and maintain moisture levels.Update pictures to come.
