Air Wolf 3D XL Dual extruder.

I converted my Air Wolf 3D XL to a dual extruder machine way back in March. I thought I could sell conversion kits, but I have too many other things going on in my life so I decided to share it with everyone. The design of the carriage is more compact than the original since the extruders are remotely feed so you get the same build width in the X direction and a little bit more in the Z. The Plexiglass (5mm) 1/2 enclosure was how I mounted the spools and extruders, but you can do that however you want. Enjoy. This is still a work in progress because the 8mm hobbed bolt drive is too small of a diameter to work effectively with a tube type system. I'll eventually convert my extruders to a bowden style setup and update my firmware with the new ratios. It works with the smaller extruder drive, but I have to limit my retractions to keep the drive from stripping the filament. The penalty for that is excessive ooze from the inactive nozzle. Instructions This is a pop out / pop in replacement. You don't have to take apart much, just the X axis belt. I did make a video with my GoPro and some day I'll get around to editing it so I can upload it to You Tube. I've included all of the parts I printed to do the conversion. You'll also need some random screws, nuts, washers etc. You'll need another extruder, but if you have an Air Wolf 3D XL you'll have those files already. I got almost everything I needed at Home Depot and Ace Hardware, but I had to buy the bearings for the extruder from Amazon. The PTFE tubes 2nd extruder motor and hot end I was able to get from Air Wolf directly since I live close to their shop in Costa Mesa, CA. Leveling the nozzles was accomplished using paper shims when mounting the Budaschnozzles to the mounting bracket.
