Aircraft Circuit breaker lockout

Aircraft Circuit breaker lockout

thingiverse

This is a replica model of the skylox brand circuit breaker lockout device. Its purpose is to lock out an aircraft circuit breaker in its open position to prevent accidents during maintenance. Its clamshell style makes for easy removal and installation during maintenance and has holes to attach warning flags or other relevant tags. The dimensions may not be accurate, but close enough for evaluation purposes. Changelog: -rev2: Has a misaligned outer pivot joint. This might give less horizontal play, or issues fitting the parts together. -rev3: moved pivot joint up by 1mm fixed horizontal misalignment of the pivot joint added a small chamfer on the edges on the bottom to compensate for xy expansion on the first few layers. also added a "print in place" version, which is identical to rev 3 but as an assembled pair with an appropriate distance for potentially faster print speeds. for the non-printinplace versions you need to print 2 parts to get a working assembly. To use this you need to install a rubber band or an O-ring in the lower groove to hold the parts together. I used an o-ring with ID=10mm and OD=13mm i had laying around. you should be able to find these at a local hardware store or auto parts store.
