This model has a single sheet materials and is in the solid gray color. It includes all the materials and textures as shown. It is built to scale in meters. The large door panels are animated to open in sequence. Diffuse, bump and opacity maps make up the appearance including the hundreds of window panes and skylights as well as the corrugated surfaced metal. Hangers like this were designed and built to store and maintain aircraft like B-17, B-25 and other aircraft in the 1930s and then built all over the world by the US forces to service their aircraft and store them from the 1940s through the 1960s. These hangers were often painted in a flat or dark gray, woodland or desert camo and after World War II painted white with a gray metal roof. These hangers often varied in size due to environment and needs at the time of construction. It is large enough to house or maintain B-17, B-29, or B-24 aircraft or multiple twin-engine bombers or fighters and attack planes. This model could be used in later time periods for other aircraft as these hangers are still in existence at many airfields and former military bases with airfields.
