Airfoil Rocket Fin with Through-the-Wall Tabs

Rocket fin with an airfoil cross-section and 5mm through-the-wall fin tabs for a sturdy attachment to the body tube. The thickest part of the airfoil is 1/3 from the front tip of the fin and maintains the same aspect ratio from its root chord to tip chord. Please see the multi-view drawing for a better understanding of the overall shape of the fin. Instructions Full sized fin will fit diagonally on a Makerbot Replicator 2 plate (see image) but Makerware will scale it to any desired size. Slots must be cut into the body tube of the rocket for the fins to properly attach. An epoxy fillet at the base is suggested (see gray line at the base of each fin in the first image).
