Airline Tube Siphon

Airline Tube Siphon

Siphon end for standard aquarium airline tubing (3/16" aka 5mm) in two diameters. Both options are 15 cm long and print without supports with 0.8mm walls, so they will print solid with 0.4mm nozzles regardless of infill settings. the 3cm diameter siphon has a very gentle suction on the substrate making it very suitable to sand. At 1.5cm the suction is much faster, so debris is evacuated quickly but sand substrate can be removed from the tank if you are not careful. Printing with a natural PLA or PETG will result in a translucent siphon that you can easily see debris moving through. Very useful for changing water in small volume tanks (ie: fry tanks). On safety and longevity: Both PLA and PETG plastics are generally considered food safe but some of the dyes and additives might not be, so I use "natural" colour to be safe. I recommend printing in PETG long term since PLA is biodegradable and the presence of heat and water will cause it to break down (though from all accounts I've read, it will still last for over a year).
