When mounted and screwed onto a gearbox, a pistol grip should never be touching the receiver body. When that happens, the screws in the grip pull down the gearbox messing up the proper positioning of a gearbox within a receiver and the angle of bevel-to-pinion gears. One way to prevent the contact between the grip and the gearbox is to file down the top edges of the grip, but that requires extra work, precision and the end result will always be uglier than before filing. These washers solve that problem. Just print one in a required thickness and place it between the grip and the gearbox - and off you go. I recommend starting with the 0.6 mm one.
