Q: What is this? A: This is a reference model for a Krytac Kriss Vector magazine. It is accurate to within 1/10th of a millimeter. Q: Why would you need this? A: I'm using this as a reference to make 3D printed active-retention magazine holsters. Q: Should I print this? A: ...if you want to? You'd need a huge bed to print this, it's like 25cm long lol Q: Will you modify the model in x, y, or z fashion for me? A: Nope. I've included the original .BLEND file (open it in Blender to modify it), the initial .STL export (this will open in Blender or AutoCAD for adjusting dimensions or adding features), and a .3MF (this can be used to slice it in your slicer of choice) if you really want to print it as one piece and have a printer bed big enough. Any edits you need, you can do on your own. EDIT 12/2018: NEW QUESTIONS, NEW ANSWERS It had been months since I logged in, and I had a few questions about this file in my inbox. Q: Is this a functional magazine for my (airsoft toy)? A: No. Q: The object scales improperly when imported to Cura - it's way too small! What are the correct sizes? A: Take a look at the files (I added a new image just now). This shows a certain edge on the rear of the magazine in red in the image on the left. That line should be 2.5cm. You can edit the file in whatever program you want (I suggest Microsoft 3D Builder since it is baked in on every Windows 10 OS install) and scale it to the proper size, export as a new .3MF, and import it to Cura - it will then have the correct dimensions. There is nothing I can do to fix this on my end, so the fix is up to you. Q: Do you have a file for the mag holster you intended to design? A: No. I sold my Vector months ago, before I had time to design the holster. Q: Will you print these for me? A: No. Not only is this not meant to be printed (it's meant a as a dimensional reference for the magazines while building a holster in Cura), but it's just too big for my printer (and probably yours. too).
