*** USE at your own risk! if your printer doesn't make solid prints and the little plunger breaks off inside your slide that's your issue!! *** ** UPDATE 06 09 2021 ** Added a version that uses the original spring from the outer barrel. You can buy these separately. They're TINY. I have this 9mm boresight that's supposed to be used to either sight in sights or a red dot. You can also use it with an app for drills where it records the laser hits. However you have to rack the slide each time. I thought.. what if I could use it in an airsoft pistol and the slide will rack from the gas and I can just use the laser with the app and practice drills without BBs? So.. it KIND OF works. The issue is similar to shaking the real pistol while using the boresight. The laser makes more of an "oval" shape. Because the slide is moving the pistol isn't stationary so it's not a perfect little circle. STILL for standard idpa type targets you can practice and get it either in the center or know you're off the paper. For the outer to inner barrel spring I just used one of my daughter's orthodontic rubber bands. The little hole is for a piece of 1.75mm filament. Just insert with the rubber band and snip it (very) flush. Same with the little outer barrel retainer "pin". Once you punch the steel one out (don't lose it!!) the new one can just be a piece of filament. I used petg. This works great if you have a 2nd barrel. I did this because I have a threaded alum barrel from jkarmy. Because of the nature of using gas to push a switch everything is pretty snug. If you have to force the boresight to go in, I'd maybe file or sand the walls a bit. Also I don't have the back gasket that used to be there. I think it broke off. If it's too tight maybe remove it. You may also have to "ream" out the hole the filament goes into. Better than being too loose. If the gas runs out there might not be enough force to push the pin to press the button even though the slide cycles. Just add more gas. If you have trouble assembling the slide, make sure the filament on the bottom is VERY flush or even below the inner barrel. And make sure the recoil spring is centered and sitting perfect. Might help to hold the slide upside down while assembling. If you have trouble with the take down lever, push the barrel backwards first. I added the little pin that holds the recoil spring in place but it's not 100% necessary.
