This is a housing for an Acetech Brighter C Airsoft tracer unit. The tracer unit itself has plastic threads. The idea behind this housing is to allow the 3D printed part to encapsulate the tracer unit and protect it. The housing threads onto the barrel, so that in the event of a drop or impact, the housing will break or strip the threads instead of the tracer unit. I printed this on a Voxelab Aries in Hatchbox PLA. You should use a maximum of 0.16 layer height for the threaded portion, and 0.12 is better. Also for this portion, slow the print way down to like 40% to ensure the threads come out good. The tracer unit is a close friction fit inside. Mine slides in under finger pressure but doesn't fall out easily if you shake it. I included a couple of 3mm holes in the base to allow you to insert a probe to push the tracer unit out if need be. The front cap is also a friction fit. Threads are 14mm LH to fit most AEGs. I used linear supports for both the cap and housing.
