Airtag and Siri Remote connector

Airtag and Siri Remote connector

I wanted to connect an Air Tag to a Siri remote. Designed this.

Update: I've since designed a different approach after seeing someone trying to sell something that is more of a full wrap and it seemed like a good idea: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4853986

Print Settings

Printer:

Pursa Mini

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

200

Infill:

20

Filament: eSun PLA+ Black Post-Printing

Need to glue the 2 parts together

Prints in 2 parts, you need to stick them together. You can do this without the remote in and use a really good glue or with the remote in and a lesser glue. This is because the remote will push on the sides of the holder to give the friction to hold things together.
After gluing them together and having the glue dry, you turn it upside down and slide your AirTag in, then the remote.

After that, everything should hold together. Enjoy!

The top and bottom piece after printing

The AirTag inside before you slide in the remote

The whole shebang

How I Designed This

History

Started with a rubber band.

Lots of measuring and looking up dimensions after which I CADed it in Fusion 360.

Designed my first version with 1 piece, no internal rail and it was rough (but worked!). Eventually, got to the 8th version over various tweaks.

1st version (111) next to the 8th version (100)

Category: DIY
