AKG K7 series Headphone Stand

There are a lot of headphone stands out there, but I've yet to find a decent one that works well and properly with my AKG K7xx without putting stress on the bands or pads. This was custom designed in 3 parts that are PRESS FITTED together (can be glued together if you please), the bottom section is completely optional but that was designed to keep the pads from compressing each other over time. mine have gained a noticeable angle from them being compressed over time and thats what this stand was designed to prevent. Like i said there are 3 parts. the wall plate the extending rod and the bottom section(optional) there is also another extending rod that doesn't have the recess in it if you decide not to go with the lower section. You can also print this with any infill you please. the one in the pictures has 10% but ill admit its a bit flimsy on the extending rod so id at least put that at 20 to 25%. the lower part should be around 25% as well though you can do 10% if you please. Be very careful inserting them into the slots after printing. the lower section is only .150in wide so it can snap easily if you bend it with low infill. It is very important that your printer be calibrated and can produce accurate sized parts. I've included pictures of my machinists dial and what the tolerances of the gaps and rod should be. the extending rod is .4in x 1in. and the wall plate has a recess in it that is exactly .4in x 1in as well. The lower portion of the stand (optional) is .150in x 1in and so is the slot on the extending rod. so its extremely important that your printer is able to print extremely tight tolerances. My printer prints within .001 and its an extremely tight fit, but is possible to do without sanding. You can use glue if you please but its honestly not necessary. This is designed around the AKG K7xx so i assume it will fit with any k7 series headphones like the k712 and the 701 and 702.. Print Settings Printer: Full Custom Davinci Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 Infill: 10-100% Notes: you need at least a 7.5 inch wide bed to print the lower part of the stand. you may be able to get away with a smaller bed if you place it at an angle but i didn't try. Can do any percentage of infill though i'd recommend no less than 25% Have an accurate printer that prints near spot on tolerances.
