This 3D model is a scan of the initial clay sculptures created by students before learning about the intricacies of stem cells. Having received a basic introduction to animal and plant cells, their roles and functions, students were provided with an information sheet outlining the structures found in a stem cell - devoid of visual aids or detailed descriptions. They then crafted what they envisioned a stem cell to resemble using clay, selecting colors based on color symbolism that best represented each structure's role within the cell.
