I have so many Alexa's that I wanted a way to get rid of the wire mess and stick them to the wall. Their are two different versions here, some with a hole in the bottom so you don't have to make a hole in the wall, and spend a day fishing wire through it, possibly electrocuting yourself, and some without. If you do go through the wall you can get an extension cord on amazon: (10FT 4.0mm x 1.7mm Female to 4.0mm x 1.7mm Male Plug Extension Cable DC Power Adapter) https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07TWQPNFL All the holes are undersized. I find it easier to drill them out after printing as my printers never make perfect circles. Ive given up on "inserting nuts" during printing, "leaving slots" for them, not to mention fighting the metric vs imperial hardware, especially with all the stores locked down. Now I just use #8 wood screws. Since the holes are undersized I recommend drilling the back holes so you can slide the screw through without engaging the threads, (I think I used a 11/64" bit,) and I cut the front plate holes (1/8") so they would hold the threads without cracking open. I also hit the counter-sinked holes with a countersink to clean them up ans ensure the head of the screws are flush. This seems like a pain, but it ends up being the easiest and most fool proof way. I only used 3 or 4 screws on the back, but feel free to fill all the holes. You have to bend the wire pretty tightly to get it to slide under the bottom of the Echo. You have to secure the "hamburger" with the Dot securely in the meat position then screw it to the wall with the 3 hidden holes at the back of the unit. The Echo sound is projected forward, which works on my applications, but your results may vary! Ive printed 3 so far and am happy enough about how they came out that I thought someone else might want to try them, I'm sure Amazon sold a few million of those dots! Edit 5/27/21 Added more versions of the cover that look like bottle caps, because after printing a bunch of therm I got bored.
