AlienGear ShapeShift Tek-Lok Adapter (3.5" Drop)

AlienGear's excellent ShapeShift holster system has everything - almost. There isn't really a good provision for running one on a duty belt or a competition race belt with a Tek-Lok though, so I made one! This will fit your out-of-the-box ShapeShift full shell for any firearm, including the thumb retention release lever, and requires only one zip-tie to retain it reliably. The full 360 degree adjustment works as well! This adapter offers 3.5" of drop as measured from the top of the belt. I also included a calibration plate that takes about 4 minutes to print so you can ensure your scaling and extrusion settings are correct, and the final 16-tooth splines will fit the holster. I printed out of ABS and so far it's held up well, however if you want it to be as strong as it can possibly be, go with a Nylon alloy. I engineered it using Inventor's structural analysis tools and with ABS it will withstand up to 40lbs directly applied to the adapter hole and still be within a factor of safety, so no need to worry too much about it buckling or failing getting out of a vehicle or catching your weapon on a fence or corner. That said, I take no responsibility for dropped or lost firearms, use this adapter at your own risk. It is up to you to make sure you are using this within its limits. YOU MUST USE A 3mm ZIP TIE OR A CLIP TO RETAIN THE HOLSTER SHELL! The spring-loaded quick-release system proved too unreliable to print well, so I opted for a zip-tie threaded through.
