This is a complete new version of my Allen Screwdriver from 2021. Keep your allen keys organized and turn them into a handy screwdriver! Head of screwdriver can rotate free for even more comfort.

What's new?

imperial sizes

more metric sizes

new rack and different sizes

new design of shaft

short version for shorter allen keys (inspired by make of BaGooN)

closed version of shafts (inspired by make of Daniel Pérez Calvo)

two different tolerances (0.1 and 0.2mm)

Special thanks goes to Phillippe Lacoude and Forrest. Phillippe printed an early version of imperial Allen Screwdriver. He and Forrest have also listed the most commonly used imperial sizes.

Note: You can find all STL files in ZIP folder.

Model instructions

I've designed two tolerances for all shafts and Inserts. Try 0.1mm tolerance first. Before using 0.2mm tolerance, try to calibrate your printer and change printing parameters, such as:

elephant foot compensation

XY size compensation

extrusion multiplier

You should be able to push allen key into shaft with some force. You might need to warm up allen key with a lighter to get it into shaft, too. This way, there is no wiggle after installation. Just don't use a material with a high softening point such as PETG.

Print instructions

Print Parts with 3 to 4 vertical shells and min. 50% infill
Only rack need support (one version has support already included)
Printing orientation is already set
Use PLA or other plastic with a low softening point (see description)

If you like my work and want to support me, I am happy about any donation :-)

PayPalMe

BuyMeACoffee
