The proposed design allow single support beam assembly to replace existing 3 support beam design. The new support beam assembly will be mounted to the underframe using the same method and hardware. Hence reduce the cost of manufacturing, certification and redesign.The new support beam assembly include new stiffener plate (8x) and new mounting hole tab (6x) welded on a UPN120 section.The proposed design provide the opportunity to reuse all existing in-service support beams by grinding off existing welded plates and weld new plates onto the UPN120 section. This reduce wastage of existing support beam and reduce the logistic cost to ship new design to operators.
