This is my entry for the “Alstom GrabCad Challenge”To reduce the production costs a new, effective design for tube-lasecut was chosen. By using this technology, manufacturing costs can strongly be reduced and delivery time can be shortened. Here is a nice video of the process: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mW4Z4M_YFAAlso, the original structure was analyzed and improved, so stiffness could be increased and weight was reduced.The design is made to fit in directly without changes to the existing structure and to meet the required standards.Enjoy!
