Our initial design consisted of 3 basic beam profiles, including 5 hollow beams and 10 L-profile beams. We employed topology optimization to minimize weight while maintaining structural constraints. The optimized result eliminated excess weight, considering a self-weight multiplied by 1.3. A shock analysis was performed using EN 12663 directive standards. Materials included S275JR for hollow beams and unequal angles, Al 6005AM for underframe crossbeams and solebars, and S275JR for supports along the hollow beam. Our design's initial weight per support set was 128.8kg (54.6% lighter than Alstom's), with an optimized weight of 86kg (69.5% reduction). Main components post-optimization were 5mm hollow beams, 20 unequal angles, and 12 unequal angles. Zero welding required. Estimated costs per support set: initial - €1500; optimized - €956 (36.2% reduced).
