Alternate blades for OTF switchblade

thingiverse

These are a couple more blades for [David6722](http://www.thingiverse.com/David6722)'s [OTF (out-the-front) switchblade](http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3619717). You can add some swagger to your carry with a Bowie or tanto blade. (But not too much--it's still a toy.) See the [original thing](http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3619717) for the rest of the pieces and instructions. These blades should replace the standard one with no changes. > **Note:** The original OTF knife has disappeared from Thingiverse. If there's a story behind that, I don't know it. [This](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3697794) is a remix of it, so the blades are likely to work, but I haven't tried them. (If you do, maybe you can leave a comment to let us know.) ## Printing Each blade comes in single- and double-sided versions. The single-sided blade prints with no support, and the double-sided version needs support. It turns out that you can print the blade on its spine (back), with the edge facing up. It needs support, and a brim or raft. The sides of the blade come out cleaner than lying down, though the spine needs cleanup. The lug on the side is stronger, too. Your printer will have to be pretty well tuned up to pull this off. ## Designed with **[Shapr3D](https://shapr3d.com/)**
