Alternative Energy Windmill - Battery Powered

This is a Windmill I needed. I hacked a RC Servo to turn it into a continuous revolving DC Gear Motor to turn the blades! Alternative Energy - Ta Da! Instructions Print the Windmill Base, Windmill Roof, and Windmill Blades. Purchase a micro RC Servo (Like HobbyKing HTX900). You can see it running here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_kizVUtsxo . Dismantle Servo, break mechanical stops on Nylon Gear, Cut Mechanical stops in Variable Pot, remove Resistance Brush in Pot (to make the Pot freely turn). Resolder motor directly to 2 wires, and cut wires going to servo controls. And in 5 minutes, you have a under $2 DC Geared Motor for powering your 3D Printed Windmill. You should power it now with only ONE AAA or AA battery. It will last for HOURS AND HOURS even with a nearly dead battery! The motor is a SNAP-Fit into the base. Once you snap it in place, it is really held in very securely. You can drop the battery down the hole in the base I left. It will fit either AAA or AA batteries with no problem (it was designed that way). If anyone wants pics, and videos, let me know so I can post them on Youtube and on Thingiverse. I should have more posted tomorrow. It works very well. Enjoy! P.S. I made it using a Micro Servo, so it could EASILY be scaled up to a larger servo, by simply scaling all of the plastic pieces.
