Aluminatus bed plate

Aluminatus bed plate

thingiverse

This is a knockoff design of the Aluminatus bed plate for self sourcers. Includes 8 copies of the SIMO mount plate for 2060 extrusions and 2 groovemount plates, hidden in the large cutouts. Also includes mounting holes for four bed corners (from the original Aluminatus) or two centered holes in the back (for Eugene_B's 3-point mounting system, linked in the Sources) Instructions This is cut out of aluminum. I had this done in 5mm aluminum and it ended up costing 60€ plus VAT. This was done by laser cutting. The cutter required a DXF or DWG to generate the price quote, but had trouble with one of the formats. Included are DXF, DWG, PDF formats which are common formats required by commercial cutters. To use the SIMO mount plates, you will need to countersink the inner 3 holes (5.5mm diameter) to allow for the bolts to be flush with the top of the plate. Use 3 M5x10mm bolts to attach to the extrusion. For an idea what needs to be done see my printed version which has the countersunk holes (countersinking is not possible or not cheap with waterjet or laser cutting)
