No matter which direction input moves, output is always clockwise. The 3 big gears, red input, yellow reverser and grey output are all the same size and turn around fixed axes. The small gear, white changer, is attached to green arm, which turns around red input axe and is limited by blue stoppers. If red input moves clockwise, drives the white changer to grey output, which also moves clockwise. If red input moves counterclockwise, drives the white changer to yellow reverser, and the grey output moves clockwise again. I did this using SW Motion Analysis, I am still learning it, so it took a while to make the model behave as it should.
