AM8 build plate for Ulitmaker Cura

thingiverse

A version of BLV's amazing AM8 custom build plate reformatted for Ultimaker Cura. You can apply this template by navigating to C:\Program Files\Ultimaker Cura 4.7\resources\definitions (or its equivalent if you installed Cura somewhere else) locating the .json file that corresponds to your printer, if you are using Cura's default Anet A8 printer profile it should be "anet3d_a8.def.json" if you are using a custom printer profile then the name should match the name displayed in Cura but with both aforementioned file extensions. Once you have located this file, open it as admin in a text editor (NOT NOTEPAD) of your choice (Notepad++, Atom, etc) and paste the lines contained in either attached json file (depending on which model you wish to use) under the "Metadata" line and save it. Next, navigate to C:\Program Files\Ultimaker Cura 4.7\resources\meshes and paste in whichever model you chose. NOTE: If you start Cura and your profile is missing it means there is an error in the json file mentioned above, double check that each line is aligned with the lines below it, if all else fails simply delete the four lines and Cura should start normally. DO NOT PRESS RESET as this will delete all of your profile's settings. This process was derived from Technivorous 3dprinting's video: /watch?v=nxCUYrvPCuA
