Amazon Echo TARDIS Cover

Amazon Echo TARDIS Cover

My new Amazon Echo is a bit lacking in "curb appeal", so I decided to make a house for her to more represent my personality. Echo fits nicely inside, but all of her Microphones, Speaker Holes, Function Buttons, and Top Lights are fully visible and functional. Update: For those who are using printers capable of printing taller items, I have added the 1 piece base file. I am not able to print this, so the file has not been tested, though I am confident the file is sound. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .2 mm/layer Infill: 20% Notes: I used custom supports using Simplify3D to provide supports in the open windows of the body, and also under the top cover. Post-Printing Due to the size limits of my printer, I was forced to break this into 3 parts. Simply take the base and upper pieces and put them together. For those with larger build areas, there is no reason to print the split base files separately. You would just need to print the tall base file and the top. If you are using the split base version,be sure to align the door faces so your Tardis looks correct. Pull the power cord up through the base and plug into your Echo. Then, while sliding the Echo into the tower, slowly pull the slack back out of the unit on the cord. When you place the unit it, be sure it is turned in such a way to allow access to both function buttons when the top is placed on. How I Designed This This was designed using TinkerCad online.
