RENDERING STEP / IGES STL

We collaborated together to design a section of the Amazon Rainforest. The design includes the Amazon River dolphin, jaguar, giant otter, and macaw, which are several endangered animals that live there. Also included in the design is a device that detects and alerts people when logging is occurring. Logging is part of the economic sector of agriculture, forestry, and other land use that is the second largest contributor to global greenhouse gas emissions, which greatly increases the speed of global warming. Additionally, the majority of logging in the Brazilian Amazon is illegal. So, this device will substantially reduce the deforestation of areas like the Amazon Rainforest, thereby also helping to decrease the rate of global warming.
With our art, we feel the need to acknowledge the effects that humans have in the natural environment. We hope people will carefully examine our art and be inspired to understand the impact that deforestation has on the future for ourselves, our world, and the endangered animals living there. This art serves as a visual reminder that deforestation is a major problem to everyone, and hopefully, this project will raise more awareness about this issue.

This design may be 3D printed with PLA using FDM because PLA is a biodegradable plastic made from renewable resources.
